Swathi Deekshith Biography

Swathi Deekshith is a south Indian film actress who also works in Bengali films. She works in Telugu, Bengali and Tamil language films. Tor Naam (2012), Ladies & Gentlemen (2015) and Simba (2017) are among her noted works. Swathi started her career as a child artist in the industry. Ram Gopal Varma's Telugu horror film Patta Pagalu gave her the real breakthrough in the year 2014. Swathi has also appeared in low budget horror films. She marked her film debut with Bengali films, and later moved to south Indian film industry where she received limited success.

She started her professional career with Bengali entertainment industry. The television show Andamaina Bhamalu in 2009 marked her acting debut as a child artist. Her role got noticed, and it earned her a few assignments in ad industry. She also appeared in two films as a child artist. As an adult actress, she marked her debut with 2012 Bengali film, Tor Naam. She played the lead role of Swapna Mollik in the movie. The following year she marked her south Indian debut through Telugu film, Breakup, and was later seen in a few Telugu and Tamil films.

Jump Jilani, Chitrangada and Ladies & Gentlemen were her Telugu releases later. In 2017 she marked her Tamil film debut with Sathura Adi 3500. She was seen in a parallel lead role in the film aside Nikhil Mohan and Iniya. It was a low budget horror film. She bagged her first lead role in Tamil films through Simba in 2017. She shares screen space with Bharath, Premgi Amaren and Bhanu Sri Mehra in this movie. The movie is slated to release in 2018.
