Sunny Nijar, also known as Sunny Singh is a budding actor of Bollywood, best known for playing the lead role of Siddharth – the Sikh boy in Bollywood hit - Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 (2015). He was paired with actress Sonnalli Seygall who has appeared in its prequel released in 2011. The ensemble cast of the movie includes - Kartik Aaryan, Nushrat Bharucha, Sonalli Sehgall, Ishita Raj Sharma, Omkar Kapoor and Sunny Singh. He played the role of a software engineer in the movie directed by Luv Ranjan and the movie became a super hit at box office. Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 received rave reviews from critics for its story and performance of its lead actors. He has played a role as a child artist in 1996 Bollywood film – English Babu Desi mein.

He was born in Mumbai on 6th October 1985. He schooled at St. Columbus School, Delhi and completed graduation from University of Mumbai. Before his foray to films he has worked in modelling field as well as television. He got associated with television in 2007, where he played character roles. He played the role of Saksham Garewal in Kasautii Zindagii Kay, which happens to be his debut work. It was followed by a few roles in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi (2007), Ruby (2008) and Shakuntala (2009). Yet those roles were not up to the mark.

In 2011, he made a cameo appearance in Ajay Devgan starrer, Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji where he played the role of Akash. Interestingly Pyaar Ka Punchnama and its sequel hold a similar plot. His big break to big screen was given by Luv Ranjan, who offered him a supporting role in his romantic film – Aakashvani in 2013. However it was his role of Chauka aka Siddharth in Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2, which put him on the right track of his acting career.
