Sujan Mukhopadhyay Biography

Sujan Mukhopadhyay is an Indian actor and playback singer associated with Bengali entertainment industry. He appears in films, stage plays as well as television shows as an actor. He is a prominent theatre artist who marked his directorial debut in 2016 with the play, Ghashiram Kotwal. He is currently associated with Benglai theater group, Chetana. Don: Taake Bhalo Laage (2018) is his most recent play as a director. He has also directed two Bengali films - Ghete Gho in 2012 followed by Chocolate. His debut film is still unreleased. Currently he plays supporting roles on Bengali screen.

 

Sujan Mukhopadhyay is also known as Neel Mukherjee and Sujan Neel Mukherjee in the entertainment industry. He was born in Howrah, West Bengal on 22 July 1974. He was first associated with theater, before he moved to movies and television, and he excelled in both these fields as well. Currently he is known to be one of the prominent artists in the Bengali entertainment industry. Devi Chaudhurani, Byomkesh, Chokher Bali, Sokhi, Ichche Nodee, Jol Nupur and Lokkhi Chhana are among his popular television roles in the recent times.

 

Directed two plays - Don Taake Bhalo Laage and Ghashiram Kotwal in the recent times, he has earlier worked as a stage actor for the plays – Brain, C/O Eklati, Jagannath, Kaurubasana, Don Taake Bhalo Laage as Sancho Panza, Mephisto, Ghashiram Kotwal, Marich Sambad and Natoktar Nam ki. He is well-known for his singing also. Started his directorial debut in 2012, he has directed two tele films before. Hese Khele Nao Re from 2008 film Chaturanga is one of his works as a playback singer. Currently he is mostly concentrating into his theatre career as a director.
