Sugeeth Biography

Sugeeth is a promising young film director of Malayalam who shot to fame with his debut flick Ordinary released in 2012. The movie bought to limelight the beautiful natural scenery of Gavi of Idukki district. He has been a long-time associate of Mollywood director Kamal since 2002 release Gramophone to 2010 release Agathan. The movie marked the comeback of actor Kunchakko Boban after a long break and it helped him to break the chocolate hero image as well.

His second release – 3 Dots also starred Kunchacko Boban in the lead role, and Biju Menon, Prathap K. Pothan and Narain in the supporting roles. Janani Iyer played the female lead. But the movie was declared flop at box office. His third release – Onnum Mindathe released in 2014 starring Jayaram and Meera Jasmin in the lead roles was also a box office failure. The movie was originally planned to do with actors Biju Menon and Kavya Madhavan. The movie was hugely panned by critics. He has announced his fourth project with Prithviraj. The movie titled 'Oru Cinema Kadha ' will have the backdrop of Mumbai. Vineeth Sreenivasan will also share the screen with Prithvi for this film and it’s for the first time both these young actors working together.

Sugeeth was born in 14 November 1978. He is married to his girlfriend Saritha since 2003 and the couple has two children. Their love story is also very similar to a film story. Saritha was already engaged to a Dubai-based boy when her neighbour Sugeeth proposed her. Her father was not willing for the marriage as they both belong to different castes, though Hindus. Thus they got married at a temple at Thevara, Kochi.
