Subiksha Biography

Subiksha is a film actress associated with south Indian films. She made her film debut in the year 2013 with the Tamil film – Annakodi, followed by her debut in Malayalam and Kannada movies. Since then she has played lead heroine roles in about 10 films belonging to different languages. Ra RaRajasekhar is her upcoming Tamil release, where she shares screen space with newcomer Mathivanan andSruthiHariharan, of Lucia fame. Celebration,Girls and Drawing Blood are her other upcoming flicks. In 2015 she was seen in a cameo role in KunchakkoBoban starrer Malayalam flick - Lord Livingstone 7000 Kandi and parallel lead in Kanthari.

Subiksha is a Kannadigan belonging to Bellary, Karnataka. But her father belongs to Palakkad, Kerala. Her mother is a dance teacher from Bellary. Her childhood days were spent in her hometown and completed education at Chennai. She is a trained Bharatnatyam dancer who completed AadalKalaimani course.Bharathiraja's 2013 Tamil film Annakodi marked her acting debut on big screen. She was seen in a supporting role in the film. Same years she made her Malayalam film debut through Oliporu, where she played female lead; an IT professional. The movie also starred Kalabhavan Mani, ZarinaWahab and FahadFazil in lead roles. The film opened to negative reviews.

Her debut Kannada film AnjadaGandu was released in 2014. In this Kannada remake of Tamil hit ManamKothiParavai,Subiksha played female lead opposite SathishNinasam. Her role as a village girl was praised by critics. Same year the Tamil film - NinaithathuYaaro was released and in this movie, she played a supporting role. Both the movies were released on the same date. In 2015, Subiksha appeared in four Malayalam films -Friendship, Kanthari and ATM 'Any Time Money', apart from a cameo role in Lord Livingstone 7000 Kandi.
