Soumili Biswas Biography 
Soumili Biswas is a Bengali actor, TV actor and dancer. She made her film debut through 2003 movie – Alo in a supporting role. Now she is a regular actress of Bangla television. She has also anchored a few shows. She started her television career during 9th grade with the television serial, Shimarekha. Her role as Durga in the mythological series, Durge Durgatinashini was very popular. After playing supporting roles in numerous Bengali movies, she got her first lead role in the year 2013. The movie was Sudhu Tomake Chai. She is a recipient of Sangeet Ratna and Sangeet Bibhakar awards for Bharatnatyam.
Soumili belongs to Kolkata. She is a trained Bharatnatyam dancer who started formal training at the age of 3 and a half. She trained under Thankamani Kutty and also learnt ballet from Mamata Shankar. She regularly performed in cultural festivals of Bengal since early days. She took graduation in Economics from Jogamaya Devi College, Kolkata. In 2012, she married a banker, Ayan Ghosh.
She started her television journey at the age of 14. Syllabus-e-Nai is a non-fiction program on Tara Bangla TV channel hosted by Soumili. After making her film debut in 2003, she played supporting roles in movies - Sangram, Asha, Bajimaat, U-Turn, Gerakol, Agnisakshi and Teen Tanaya. In between she has been active in television as well. Teen Tanaya was a triology based on Rabindranath Tagore’s poems. In this movie she played the role of Camellia. In 2007, she participated in the television show, Jhum Ta Ra Ra Ra. It was a great shock to audience when she got eliminated in the second week.
