Sonjay Dutt Biography 
Sonjay Dutt is the ring name of Retesh Bhalla, an American professional wrestler of Indian origin. His ring name is said to be inspired from the name of Bollywood actor, Sanjay Dutt. He is currently signed to Impact Wrestling and performs as a color commentator for the promotion's flagship show Impact! He is also associated with the creative team of the same show. He is a former GFW NEX*GEN Champion, and has also competed for the original Global Force Wrestling. He was featured in video games - Backyard Wrestling 2: There Goes the Neighborhood (2004) and TNA Impact! (2008).
He was born on April 7, 1982 in Washington, D.C., United States. Both his parents are of Indian origin, who moved to US before Retesh Bhalla was born. His ancestor family still exists in Delhi, though he is a US citizen now. He began his professional career in wrestling with KYDA, where he worked for two years. He participated in Major League Wrestling in 2003, which gave him a real breakthrough he has been waiting for. The same year he won Junior Heavyweight Championship, the first international championship won by him.
He made his debut for Total Nonstop Action Wrestling in 2003, and since then working regularly for promotion. Dutt earned a spot on Team USA in the 2006 World X Cup. He was involved in the Paparazzi Championship Series, led by Kevin Nash the same year. Since making his TNA debut, he has worked for independent promotions such as Ring of Honor, UWA, Combat Zone Wrestling, MXW Pro Wrestling and many more. In 2012 he returned to TNA defeating Rubix to qualify for a tournament for the TNA X Division Championship. He was associated with Global Force Wrestling during 2015-2017, and returned to Impact Wrestling in 2017, with which he is currently associated with.
