Sonampreet Bajwa, shortly called Sonam Bajwa is a successful model and actress, active in Punjabi and south Indian film industry. She played female lead Jeeti in Punjabi blockbuster hit of 2014, Punjab 1984. The movie included an ensemble star cast of Diljit Dosanjh, Kirron Kher, Pavan Malhotra, Sonam Bajwa and Ranbir Rana. Best Of Luck and Sardaar Ji are her other Punjabi releases. She made her film debut in the year 2013. The Return of Sardaarji is her upcoming Punjabi flick, where she plays female lead opposite Diljit Dosanjh.

Her debut film was the Punjabi movie - Best Of Luck, released in 2013. Apart from Punjabi movies, she has also acted in one south Indian flick – a bilingual of Tamil and Telugu languages. She made her south Indian film debut in the year 2014, with the Tamil comedy flick, Kappal. She played the female lead opposite Vaibhav for the movie. The movie made on a moderate budget of 20 crores sank at the box office. The movie received mixed responses too. Pandavullo Okkadu was Kappal’s Telugu version released in 2015. She also appeared in TVC shows on television.

Sonampreet Kaur Bajwa is her full name. Bajwa was born on 16 August 1989 in Nanakmatta, Rudrapur of Uttarakhand. The town was close to Nainital. She studied at Delhi University. She has been an air hostess before she entered the entertainment field. In 2012 she contested the Femina Miss India contest, though she was not able to win any titles. She was a finalist. Actually she was more interested in winning the title than doing a film. After the contest she received film offers which she accepted. Made debut with ‘Best of Luck’ and after Punjab 1984, she was shortlisted for Shah Rukh Khan’s heroine for Happy New Year though the role finally went to Deepika.
