Snigdha Akolkar Biography

Snigdha Akolkar is a successful television actress and model associated with Hindi entertainment industry. She has also acted in Tamil and Hindi films. She played the female lead in highly acclaimed Tamil film directed by Myshkin – Nandalala released in 2010. She has appeared in over 70 advertisement commercials like Wildstone deo, Parachute hair oil, Lifebuoy hand wash, Westside etc and hence a familiar face to Indian audience. She played female lead in popular Hindi soap, Hare Kkaanch Ki Choodiyaan for which she is known most. She was seen in an item number in Tamil hit film, Anjaate and also one Bollywood film, Love U...Mr. Kalakaar! playing the supporting role of Charu.

 

Snigdha Akolkar hails from Pune, Maharashtra. She was born on 3rd May 1985. Painting and dancing are her best hobbies, and acting is her passion. She started her acting career in 2005 through the television show, Hare Kkaanch Ki Choodiyaan where she played lead role. She played Janki in Vaidehi, Kajri Dev Patil in Bandhan, Kaushalya in Siya Ka Ram and Anjani in Shani in 2017 most recently. Her role as Kaushalya in Siya Ka Ram was well received, and currently she plays both lead and supporting roles.

 

Her success in television earned her a couple of film roles too. Anjaate, Nandalala and Love U...Mr. Kalakaar are her filmy appearances. She was seen in an item song, 'Kathala kannala' in Anjaate directed by Mysskin. Later he casted her in female lead in the delayed project, Nandalala and movie opened to positive reviews. She also appeared in Tamil flop film, Rajadhi Raja. She was last seen in the TV fantasy show, Shani. She is currently single and not dating anyone.
