Simi Chahal is a well-known Punjabi film actress of present times. As a lead actress, Bambukat, Rabb Da Radio and Chal Mera Putt are among her most popular roles. She is a model turned actress. She won Filmfare Award (Punjabi) for Best Debut Actress in 2017 for her role in Bambukat, followed by Best Actress Critics Award at the PTC Punjabi Film Awards. With these awards, this young actress has a promising career ahead. She joined film industry in 2016 and has acted in 9 films till now.

Simi Chahal’s full name is Simarpreet Kaur Chahal. After modelling she started appearing in Punjabi music videos in 2014, which paved her way into films. She made her Punjabi film debut with the 2016 film Bambukat directed by Pankaj Batra. She made an impressive debut and was paired with Ammy Virk. The film’s success gave her Filmfare Award (Punjabi) for Best Debut Actress, and also more film offers. With a series of hit films, she became one of the most popular and successful Punjabi actresses of present times.

Rabb Da Radio is her most brilliant performance till now on Punjabi screen. She along with her co-star Tarsem Jassar won Critics Award for Best Actress/Actor at PTC Punjabi Film Awards 2018. They also featured in the sequel of the film with the same title released in 2019. Sarvann, Golak Bugni Bank Te Batua, Manje Bistre 2, Chal Mera Putt, Bhajjo Veero Ve, Golak Bugni Bank Te Batua etc are her other releases till now. She also appears in TV shows for promoting her films. She appeared in the celebrity show, The Kapil Sharma Show with Priyanka Chopra and Ranjit Bawa to promote Sarvann.
