Siddhartha Nuni Biography

Siddhartha Nuni is an Indian cinematographer who works in Tamil & Kannada film industry. Marked his debut in year 2012, he has done 4 projects including the unreleased Tamil film - Ra Ra Rajasekhar. The rest three films are Software Hardware Kya Yaaron in 2012, highly acclaimed Kannada thriller Lucia in 2013 and a documentary in English titled – Limitless. He was nominated in the best cinematographer category for the movie, Lucia at South Indian International Movie Awards in 2014.

Siddhartha completed his high school studies at Sainik School, Korukonda and later completed his graduation in engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Madras. Yet his passion to work behind camera prompted him to join Rajiv Menon’s Mindscreen Film Institute, Chennai with cinematography as main stream. He completed the course from the institute in the year 2007. He then worked on travel documentaries for Mahindra Holidays for a couple of years before he moved to cine world. He worked in the on-set VFX crew of Oscar nominated film - Life of Pi in 2010 before he completely switched over to film industry.

Since 2011, he worked on a few independent films in Bangalore. He short to fame after completing the work of Kannada movie, Lucia – the movie which opened to positive reviews and received praise for weaving story and making. The movie also received numerous awards and nominations and remade to Tamil as well. Siddhartha Nuni earned his first and single nomination in the cine world for the work of Lucia. He was nominated in SIIMA. In 2013, he was featured in the India Today magazine as one of 37 young Indians making a difference in their field of work.
