Shweta Choudhary Biography 
Shweta Chaudhary is an Indian shooter from Faridabad, Haryana. She competes in the 10 metre air pistol and 25 metre sports pistol events. She won the bronze medal in the women's air pistol event at 2014 Asian Games in Incheon, and also a silver medal (team) at the 15th Asian Games in 2006. Prior to this achievement she won bronze medal at 2009 Asian Air Gun Championships in Doha. She has been coached by Lim Jang Soo, Ramesh Chaudhary and Prashant Singh at different points of time. Chaudhary is six-time national champion in air pistol and has accumulated about 117 national and 43 international medals in total.
Shweta Chaudhary was born in Faridabad, Haryana in the year 1986. She was born into a family of shooters. Her father has been very supportive about her profession. Her mother, Bimla Chaudhary is a state level shooter who has won medals. Her elder brother Toshinder Singh has represented India in pistol shooting. Her childhood days were spent in her hometown where she completed her schooling. She graduated from Lady Shri Ram College for Women, Delhi University in 2007. She married Prashant Singh in 2013, and now lives with her husband in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh.
Shweta’s relationship with pistol began at the age of 9, and she appeared for the first time at an event. She took training from Karni Singh's shooting range but suffered a hand injury. She couldn’t practise for some time. Yet slowly she made up her mind to take shooting as her profession. She resumed shooting at the age of 11.
In the year 2000, at the age of 14, she became the senior national champion. She won her first international medal at 17th Commonwealth Games (pairs) at Manchester in 2002, where she earned a silver. She has won medals at Asian games, Commonwealth games and many competitions in international circuit.
