Shiju Abdul Rasheed Biography

Shiju Abdul Rasheed, better known as Shiju is an Indian actor who works in Malayalam and Telugu entertainment industry. He has acted in Telugu movies with the stage name Devi Shiju, and is a part of Malayalam movies and television serials right now. He is associated with entertainment industry since 1994 and has completed more than two decades in the industry. He has appeared in over 50 movies in Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu languages.

Shiju hails from Kollam, Kerala. He was born on 4 August in the year 1974. He was first seen in 1995 Malayalam film, Mazhavilkoodaram. In 1996 he marked his Tamil film debut with Mahaprabhu directed by A. Venkitesh, which gave him a big break to his acting career. He played villain’s role in this movie. Since then he has played noted supporting and negative roles on south Indian screen. He worked in a Telugu movie named Devi directed by Kodirama Krishna which was a super hit. After that he used screen name Devi Shiju for many of his Telugu releases for a long time.

Manasantha Nuve, Nuvu Nakku Natchavu, Simharasi and Ammayikosam are among his hit Telugu movies, while he also appeared in Malayalam movies - Ishttamanu Nooruvattam, Kalachakram, Sidhartha, Vachalam etc. In the early 2000s, he took a break from the industry and returned in 2010. Some of his noted releases in the second include – Vishudhan, Sound Thoma, Proprietors: Kammath & Kammath, Avatharam, Cousins, Jamna Pyari, PaaVa etc.

He also acted in Malayalam television serials such as Sthreehridayam, Ente Manasaputhri, Aakashadoothu, Priyamanasi, Pakalmazha, Karuthamuthu, Vishwaroopam, Alavudinte Albuthavilakku, Nandanam etc, and also appears in Telugu serials. Currently he appears in the popular Telugu series, Prathibimbam since 2016. He was also seen in Malayalam series, Jagratha, most recently.
