Shebin Benson Biography

Shebin Benson is a budding actor associated with Malayalam screen, who has portrayed both lead and supporting roles. After playing noted supporting roles in Kaattu and 10 Kalpanakal, he got his first lead role through Kaly released in 2018. He was also most recently seen in the supporting role of young Sethu Madhavan in Manju Warrier starrer, Mohanlal. He is associated with Malayalam cinema since 2013, and marked his acting debut with Idukki Gold, where he played the childhood role of Madan. Varsham, Iyobinte Pusthakam, Chirakodinja Kinavukal, Inspector Dawood Ibrahim etc are other noted works, and most of his works he played the childhood teenage role of the lead or supporting actor.

Shebin Benson was born on 27 November 1995 in Nilambur, Kerala. He is the elder son of Chandy Benson and Sherly Benson. His younger brother, Nebish Benson has also appeared in a few Malayalam films in child artist roles. Shebin too started his career as a teenager in 2013 at the age of 18. Idukki Gold directed by Aashiq Abu marked his acting debut. Since then he portrayed the childhood role of the lead actor multiple times on big screen, before he bagged his first lead role as an adult hero in 2018.

He got this opportunity through Kaly, directed by Najeem Koya, where he shared screen space with Shammi Thilakan and Baburaj. Kaly’s director Najeem Koya was at the preview of the film Idi, in which he played Jayasurya’s younger version. He was the first person he cast for Kaly. The movie produced under the banner of August Cinemas has five young men in the lead and Shebin is one among them. Paviettante Madhurachooral is his upcoming release, where he plays the lead role of Pavi.
