Shawar Ali is a successful model and character artist associated with Bollywood. He has played several signature films in Bollywood apart from south Indian films, belonging to Telugu and Kannada film industry. He has portrayed many negative and henchman roles in Bollywood and Telugu cinema. A handsome model, his name has been listed among top handsome artists associated with modelling and cine field. Shawar married to his longtime girlfriend Marsela Ayesha in a private ceremony on 29 March 2015. Dilwale, Hawas, Asambhav, Ab... Bas!, Khamoshh... Khauff Ki Raat, Fareb, Mere Dost Picture Abhi Baki Hai, Paanch Ghantey Mien Paanch Crore, Om Shanti Om, Runway, Bbuddah... Hoga Terra Baap, Monsoon, Rebel etc are some of his Bollywood roles.

Shawar Ali has been a supermodel in the fashion industry before he moved to Bollywood. A successful ramp model, he has been associated with top fashion designers of the country. He has also endorsed several products and featured for TV commercials as well. He began his career when he was one among the rare and successful models from Madhya Pradesh, who worked in Mumbai. Shawar Ali too owned a struggling period before he made his mark in the modelling industry. After becoming a supermodel, he has judged several model hunts.

2004 Bollywood Hawas marked his film debut. Noted for his unique looks, he quickly gained attention in the cine world and later moved to south Indian films as well.  Asambhav, Khamoshh... Khauff Ki Raat, 99.9 FM and Asambhav are his early releases and he also did a cameo role in Om Shanti Om in a song sequence. Currently he is a part of the reality show, Power Couple, hosted by the celebrity couple - Arbaaz Khan and Malaika Arora Khan.
