Shane Nigam Biography

Shane Nigam is a budding young actor associated with Malayalam cinema. He is best known for his debut film in lead role, Kismat, a tragic love story where he portrayed a character based on real life incidents. Started off his career as a child actor, he played a few character roles, before he played his first lead role. Most recently he played the role of Manju Warrier’s foster son in C/O Saira Banu. He is the son of noted film actor Abi.

Shane Nigam is a mimicry artist who forayed into films. He also appeared in reality shows on Malayalam television as a contestant. He hails from Ernakulam, and currently he is pursuing his B Tech degree from Rajagiri School of Engineering & Technology, Kochi. Shane wishes to study cinematography as well. He was first seen in dance reality show Super Dancer Junior before his foray to films. He also acted as a child artist for television series, Hello Kuttichathan. Later he played a few child artist roles on big screen as well. He played the childhood of Prithviraj in Thathonni, his debut Malayalam film.

As an adult actor, his first filmy role was Annayum Rasoolum where he played Anna’s brother. Though he was offered the title role in Njan Steve Lopez, he didn’t accept. Later the movie successfully launched Fahadh Fasil’s younger brother, Farhaan Faasil to Malayalam cine world. Kismath opposite to Shruthy Menon marked his debut in lead role in the year 2016. He received rave reviews from critics, and the movie was a box office hit.

He played a law student in his second release, C/O Saira Banu. The movie marked the return of Amala to Malayalam screen after a long break of almost 2 decades. The movie was a box office hit. Currently an engineering student, he has signed a few more films such as Parava, Eada, Oolu etc.
