Saptagiri Biography

Saptagiri is an actor and comedian associated with Telugu cinema. He has played both lead and supporting roles onscreen and regarded as an entertainer. His actual name is Venkata Prabhu Prasad, which he rechristened to Saptagiri after an incident happened to him in Tirumala. Frequently associated with low-budget comedy films, he is often addressed as Mini Brahmanandam, and he succeeded in this role.

He started his career as an assistant director and turned as an actor. In 2017 he played his first lead role in mainstream cinema for the movie, 'Saptagiri Express'. The film got good response from the audience and since then he is nicknamed 'Saptagiri LLB'. The film is a remake of Jolly LLB, the very popular Bollywood film which won National award for best film in Hindi.

Venkata Prabhu Prasad, known by his screen name Saptagiri hails from Irala, Andhra Pradesh. He is currently residing in Hyderabad. He started his film journey as an assistant director, before doing comic and supporting roles. He started film acting career with Bhaskar's film Bommarillu in 2006. He assisted Bommarillu Bhaskar for the film Parugu and he was impressed with his narrative skill. He offered him a role, and Saptagiri received acclaim. Later he gave up his dreams to become a director and concentrated on to his career as an actor.

The success of Prema Katha Chitram and Venkatadri Express changed his career graph and he started getting more offers. He played his first lead role through 'Saptagiri Express' which received overwhelming response, and then did his second film in a lead role - Revolver Raju. The actor mostly features in comedy films, and enacts comic roles.
