Santhosh Nair Biography

Santhosh Nair is a south Indian filmmaker, who acts as producer and director. He works in both Malayalam and Tamil film industry. As a film director he is best known for his debut flick, Money Ratnam released in Malayalam in 2014. This critically acclaimed project starred Fahadh Fasil in lead role, and the movie with a good message received praises from its script and making. Sachin is his upcoming flick, starring Dhyan Sreenivasan, Aju Varghese, Dhyan Sreenivasan, Aju Varghese, Reshmi Boban and Sethu Lakshmi in lead roles, and it’s a love story in the backdrop of cricket. He has been associated with more than 30 south Indian films in various roles before handling camera for the first time in 2014. Devadaruvile Manju is yet another script he is working on.

Santhosh Nair was born to Malayali parents in Mumbai in 1977. He has one younger brother. Later the family moved to hometown where they got settled. He did his schooling from Govt LPS Mariyapuram and Government L.V.HS, Arayoor. He completed his graduation from VTM NSS College, Dhanuvachapuram, Thiruvananthapuram in the late 1990s. Now he is settled in Kochi with his family. Soon after graduation, he moved to Chennai to do hotel management course. Yet he discontinued his studies to pursue a career in filmmaking.

He worked in more than 30 movies as an associate and assistant Director, and made his first full-fledged film in 2014. His debut film, Money Ratnam is a road movie with inspired elements from Bollywood flick, Ek Chalis Ki Last Local. As an assistant director, he has worked under Venu Nagavally, Deepu Karunagaran, Renji Panicker, M. A Nishad, S L Puram Jayasurya, S L Puram Jayasurya, Rosshan Andrrews, and also Director Azhagam Perumal for Madhavan-Jyothika starrer Dum Dum Dum during his early years. Dhyan Sreenivasan enacts the titular role of Sachin in his next flick, slated to release in 2018.
