Santhosh Dhayanidhi Biography

Santhosh Dhayanidhi is a music composer and playback singer associated with Tamil cinema. He made his debut as a music composer through Santhanam's comedy film, Inimey Ippadithan in 2015. He scored both track music and background music for the film. Mo released in 2016, Enakku Vaaitha Adimaigal, Kattappava Kanom and Madura Veeran – all released in 2017 are his other projects up-to-date. He recorded his songs - "Thaedi Odunaen" from Inimey Ippadithan and "Ondroduthan Ondroga" from Enakku Vaaitha Adimaigal in his own voice, thus establishing as a singer in the industry as well. he plays music instruments – piano and keyboard.

Santhosh Dhayanidhi hails from Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Dhayanidhi began his career in film music by working as a keyboard programmer for A. R. Rahman, and was associated with the legendary musician for two movies - Kadal (2013) and Lingaa (2014). He also worked in TV commercials and for the promotional song of Bigg Boss Season 8, aired on Colors. Santhosh made his debut as a composer with the comedy film Inimey Ippadithan in 2016. He got his debut project after recommendations from Santhanam. Film’s producer was looking for a debut composer for his new project and luckily earned that opportunity through Santhanam’s recommendation.

In 2016 he had a single project only – Mo, a horror comedy. In 2017 he bagged three projects - , Enakku Vaaitha Adimaigal, Kattappava Kanom and Madura Veeran. With the new assignments, the composer-singer has finally set his foot in the industry. The composer believes that the lessons he learnt from Rahman while working as his apprentice have helped groom him into a full-fledged musician. From Kadal to Lingaa, he did keyboard programming for Rahman for three years and studied music in his school. Rahman helped him to understand the technique of using songs to create background music.
