Sanjeev Jaiswal Biography

Sanjeev Jaiswal is an Indian actor who appears in Hindi films. He is best known for portraying the meaty role of Mohammed Ajmal Amir Kasab in 2013 action thriller, The Attacks of 26/11. He shared screen space with Nana Patekar and the movie with uncut version receiving ‘A’ certificate opened to mixed reviews. His first movie was Shaitan, where he played a bit role of a police informer, and The Attacks of 26/11 was his second release. The movie was based on 2008 Mumbai attacks, which killed many innocent lives. He is to mark his south Indian film debut with Howrah Bridge, a bilingual film in Kannada and Tamil.

 

Sanjeev Jaiswal was born on 18 February 1988 in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. Currently he lives in Mumbai. His active career in this profession began in 2005. His father is a businessman from Jamshedpur and his mother is a housewife. He has three brothers, and he is the second kid to his parents among four. After completing his schooling from Motilal Nehru Public School, he graduated through Open University IGNOU. He has been associated with theatre since graduation days, and got recognition as a stage actor for the first time in Delhi.

 

He has done theatre in Delhi from 2005 to 2008, before he shifted to Mumbai for higher opportunities on celluloid. He was among top ten finalists in the Delhi audition of Zee TV's India's Best Cinestars Ki Khoj in 2008, which prompted him to move to Mumbai. Same year he was featured in an ad of IPL, and started working in bit roles. He also played assistant director role in Hindi television industry for a while. RGV-directed movie The Attacks Of 26/11 gave him the major break as an actor.
