Sandra Simon Biography

Sandra Simon is an upcoming Malayalam film actress who made her film debut with 2014 film - Lal Bahadur Shastri, where she was paired with the leading actor, Jayasurya. She was first noticed through the reality show, Midukki telecasted in Mazhavil Manorama Channel where she was one among the contestants. Midukki was a reality show to find out the most talented and smart girl, hosted by cine artist Rima Kallingal. Hair stylist Ambika Pillai, designer Shalini James, Social Worker Dr. Piyush and Psychologist Dr. Zaileshya were the judges of the show. She shot to fame after the show and appeared quite mature though she was only 19.

The smart young girl Sandra Simon hails from Kozhikode district. She was born to Simon Thonakkara and has two sisters, Sobha and Ann. She is currently pursuing BSc from Christ College, Bangalore. ‘Midukki’ - a reality show aired in Mazhavil Manorama gave her enough exposure to outer world and her first ticket to movies. Though she couldn’t win the show, it definitely helped her to showcase her talents. In 2014, she made her film debut with the movie, Lal Bahadur Shastri opposite Jayasurya. The movie directed by debutant Rejish Midhila also starred Nedumudi Venu and Aju Varghese. Sandra played the lead role of Thaara in the film.

Sandra is the youngest of three sisters, and since young she wanted to become a pilot. But she ended up doing BSc and started an acting career as well. Travelling is her hobby and she loves to explore nature’s beauty at its best. About her costumes, Sandra prefers skirts during casual occasions and loves to wear sarees for functions. She less prefers jeans and top.
