Sana Khan Biography

Sana Khan is an Indian actress who works for South Indian movies and Bollywood. She is a dancer and successful model also. She has acted in 14 films across 5 languages and has appeared in over 50 ad films. She was the leading lady of Malayalam movie Climax, based on the biopic of Silk Smitha. Already a Bollywood movie has been made on her – The dirty picture. She got a major breakthrough in Bollywood with Sohail Khan Productions film, Mental, where she plays a lead female role. She has been paired opposite Salman Khan in this movie.

She has been a very successful model who has worked in about 50 television ads. Most popular ones are with Shah Rukh Khan, Hritik Roshan, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Yuvraj Singh and Akshay Kumar. But her ad on underwear (Macho) created much fuss and was later withdrawn from television. On May 2013, she has also been accused of kidnapping a minor girl of 15who refuted the advances of her cousin.

Sana started doing modeling assignments after completing her high school. She made her acting debut in the low-budget adult Hindi film Yehi Hai High Society, in the year 2005. Subsequently she started working in ads that proved successful too. Sana shot into limelight with her debut Tamil film Silambattam, opposite Silambarasan.  Her portrayal of a talkative, Brahmin village girl named Janu was well appreciated and received the 2009 ITFA Best New Actress Award. Her next Tamil film, Thambikku Indha Ooru was released in 2010. But it was declared flop.

She debut Telugu with Kalyanram Kathi. Very soon bi-lingual movie - Gaganam / Payanam was released. It was a critical as well as commercial success. It was based on an airplane high-jack theme. In 2011, Sana stepped into Kannada movies with Kool...Sakkath Hot Maga opposite Ganesh, followed by her next Tamil film, Aayiram Vilakku.

She debut Malayalam with the movie ‘Climax’ which is remembered for its bold theme. She has also done item numbers in Bombay to Goa and De dana dan goal. Billu Rani of De dana dana goal was very popular. She has also done dance numbers in Tamil movies.
