Sadagoppan Ramesh Biography 
Sadagoppan Ramesh is an all-rounder cricketer from Chennai who has also appeared in a few movies. He took a wicket from his maiden ODI of his career, thus making his name into the list of cricketers holding this unique record. He is the first Indian cricketer to achieve this record. He made this record at ODI debut against West Indies and the first victim was Nixon McLean. India has been in search of an opening batsman since the exit of Sunil Gavaskar in the late 1990’s and Ramesh was its answer. This left-handed batsman though has given some outstanding innings, he failed to convert his good openings to big scores and eventually he lost his position from Indian team in 2001. He played his international test match in 1999 and is known as Right-arm offbreak bowler.
He was born in 1975, Chennai Tamil Nadu. He made his debut on home ground, against Akram and Akthar, Pakistan in 1999. He was in great form when the test series was going on. Though he couldn’t score in his first match, he made good runs in his first six tests, with a batting average of 50+. As Pakistan has been one of the best in bowling attack with Akram and Akhtar doing the major role, as a new batsman, Ramesh’s efforts were just outstanding. In a short career below 3 years, he scored 1367 runs of 19 test matches at a batting average of 37.97 which includes two centuries and 8 half centuries as well. He has also played 24 One-day international matches for India scoring about 650 runs.
As every cricketer he started playing at the age of 10 with a tennis ball. He was a medium-pacer while playing Under-13 team. While playing Under-13, he started bowling off spin. He got selected to the City team with this bowling technique, though it was his experiment and later played the first test match for India in 1999 against Pakistan.
