S. Sashikanth Biography 
S. Sashikanth is a film producer associated with Tamil cinema. He is also known to be an architect and entrepreneur based from Chennai. He has partnered with several other Tamil film producers to form a distribution company known as Dream Factory in 2014. As a film producer, most of his films turned to be profitable ventures. His upcoming movie as a producer is Tamizh Padam 2.0, a sequel of cult classic comedy Tamizh Padam released in 2010 and helmed by debutant, C. S. Amudhan. Thamizh Padam, Vaayai Moodi Pesavum and Kaaviya Thalaivan are some of the films produced by him under the banner Y NOT Studios, a production house established by him.
His full name is Sashikanth Shivaji. He hails from Chennai. While he was an architect student, in 1999, he started out with a social network called StudentConcepts.com. He co-designed the website, University of Sydney, which offers assistance to students, job search tools and a few more help tools. He failed in his first thesis which prompted him to take a break and he got interested in filmmaking those days. He assisted art director Thotta Tharani in the late 1990s to set the film set of movie Muthalvan directed by Shankar. He briefly dabbled in mango farming, moved back to his architecture studies to give it a second try, and then passed as the university topper.
He set up an architectural company, Space Scape, with his wife Rajani in 2002. Now it is one of the leading designing firms. Today he runs Space Scape, along with his wife, a successful architecture firm. “Tamizh Padam”, “Va Quarter Cutting” and “Kaadhalil Sothappuvathu Yeppadi” (“Love Failure” in Telugu) are some of his early films as a film producer under the banner Y Not Studios.
