S. P. B. Charan Biography 
S. P. B. Charan is an Indian film actor and a playback singer who works in Tamil film industry. He started his career as a playback singer and later turned an actor. He owns the film production company named Capital Film Works which has produced many Tamil films.
Charan was born on 7th January 1972 as Charan Sripathi Balasubramanyam in Chennai in Tamil Nadu. His father S. P. Balasubramanyam is a popular singer in South India. He completed his schooling from St. John’s School and joined Briarcliff in New York for higher studies.
His first marriage was a failure and ended up in divorce and his ex-wife lives with her kids in United States. He was then caught in the Sona molesting issue and had to face lots of controversies due to that. Later in 2012 he married a girl from a humble family background named Aparna.
His first song as a playback singer was Deepangal Eetrum for the film Devathai in 1997. He has produced many films and his first film was Unnai Charanadainthen in which he acted in the lead role with Venkat Prabhu. This film received four Tamil Nadu State Film Awards. Some other films that he has produced include Mazhai, Chennai 600028, Kungama Poovum Konjum Puravum, Naanayam, Aaranya Kaandam, etc.
He has acted in various films such as Hudugigagi, Unnai Charanadainthen, Naalo, Nyabagam Varuthe, Saroja, Drohi, Va, etc. Some of the films for which he has worked as the playback singer are Chik Chik Chinna, Ayyayyo Nenju, Adidaa Nayaandiyaa, Deepangal Pesum, Devaloga Rani, Hey Vaada, Inithu Inithu, Jumbo, Kadaloram, Kadhal Sadugudu, Maja Maja, Nee Naan, Oh Shanthi, Oru Nanban, Mannile, etc.
