Rupan Bal Biography

Rupan Bal is a Canadian–Indian YouTuber of Punjab origin. He is also an actor, director and comedian. His comic videos uploaded in YouTube are instant hits. His videos are produced by Jus Reign, a YouTube personality of Indian origin and the videos made him immensely popular among Canadian Indian citizens. He currently owns an entertainment banner titled Rupan Bal Films, which produces Punjabi music videos. He marked his big screen debut with Haani (2013) in a supporting role, followed by his first lead role in 22g Tussi Ghaint Ho (2015).

Rupan Bal was born in Punjab on January 26, 1990. He belongs to a Sikh Jat family. He moved to Canada at the age of 14 and was raised in Brampton, Ontario. He graduated in criminology from the University of Guelph, Canada. He wanted to become a lawyer, but became an entertainer, which he never imagined. He started appearing in YouTube videos produced by YouTuber, JusReign. He started gaining recognition through his comic videos, and slowly their collaboration turned a big success. His popular role as an angry Punjabi mother in JusReign's videos was well appreciated. Following the comic videos, he started appearing in music videos as well. Mickey Singh's Body is one such popular appearance.

In 2013 he joined Punjabi film industry as a supporting actor and later got promoted to lead roles. However he is still popular with his YouTube videos, than his big screen appearances. Rupan Bal now directs music videos too. He was the producer of 2015 English film, The Last King. Dancing and watching movies are his favourite hobbies. Dannie Riel is his role model.
