Rony David Biography

Rony David is a film actor associated with Malayalam cinema. He is best known for playing supporting roles and has played police roles many times. As a film actor, he gained recognition for the first time playing the teacher’s role in 2016 youth oriented campus film, Aanandham starring a bunch of young actors. He was most recently seen in the role of a cop in 2018 thriller, Street Lights. Traffic (2011), Take Off (2017) and Style (2016) are other noted works. Rony is doctor in real life. He made debut in the 2008 film Kurukshetra, and has completed one decade in the cine industry. His brother Roby Varghese Raj is a cinematographer of film industry.

 

Rony David is a physician who joined entertainment industry as an actor. He took MBBS from Vinayaga Mission Medical College and worked at KIMS Hospital as a physician before joining film industry. He was first seen in Mohanlal starrer film on military men, Kurukshetra. The film was released in 2008 and he played a brief uncredited role. After that he was seen in small and less significant roles for next 8 years before he got the big break through Aanandham. His role as strict Chacko Sir romancing his colleague won everyone’s hearts. This was for the first time he played a meaty role on screen with some humour elements.

 

Before that he was seen in small roles in Duplicate, Samsaaram Aarogyathinu Haanikaram, Oru Indian Pranayakadha, Ayalum Njanum Thammil, Traffic, Best Actor, Aagathan, Sakudumbam Shyamala, Daddy Cool, Bodyguard etc. After the success of Aanandham, his career graph reached new heights and he became a familiar face among Malayali audiences. Kamuki, Street Lights, Thrissivaperoor Kliptham, The Great Father, Karinkunnam 6'S, Action Hero Biju etc are some of his noted roles later.
