Rishab Shetty Biography 
Rishab Shetty is a promising film director associated with Kannada cinema. He is a film actor too, who started his career playing supporting roles. Kannada thriller film Ricky in 2016 marked his directorial debut and also his career beginning as a screen writer. He shot to fame with his second film, Kirik Party which was a blockbuster, and completed 150 days in its long theatric run. The film also completed 250-day in multiplexes, and became one of the biggest grossers of Kannada cinema. He is currently working on two projects - Katha Sangama and Sa.Hi.Pra.Shaale, Kasaragodu. Both the projects were announced in 2017.
Rishab Shetty hails from Kundapur, Karnataka. 7th July is his birthday. He completed a diploma in film direction from the Government Film and TV Institute in Bangalore before he forayed to films. He worked as an assistant under film director A. M. R. Ramesh in 2006 film, Cyanide. He also assisted Arvind Kaushik on a TV series. Then he started working in films as an actor doing bit roles. Tuglak released in 2012 was his first film as an actor. He played a policeman role in the highly acclaimed Lucia. Before he marked his directorial debut in 2016, he appeared in one more film - Ulidavaru Kandanthe.
In 2016, he marked his film debut as a film director with Ricky, and also played a small role of Radhakrishna's friend. After that he fully switched on to film direction. Ricky deals with the subject of Naxalism, and had Rakshit Shetty and Haripriya in lead roles. The makers were asked to mute seven dialogues from the film, a couple of changes were made, and the film was given a "U/A" certificate. With his second film, Kirik Party he cemented his position in the industry.
