Ravi Singh Biography

Ravi Singh is a film actor best known for his work in Bollywood and Malayalam cinema. In 2017 he played negative role of a henchman in Prithviraj’s Malayalam action film Tiyaan, which earned him recognition. He was seen in brief roles in Bollywood movies such as Bolo Raam, Department, Mastang Mama, John Day, Red Alert, Kuch Khel Kuch Masti, Hazaron Khwahishein Aisi, Bharat Bhagya Vidhata, Commando, Enemmy and Prem Jaal. He has been associated with Hindi cinema for more than a decade as of now, and has worked with many leading Bollywood directors like Ram Gopal Varma.

Ravi Singh hails from Delhi. He was born on 31 March 1972 to Puran Singh and Chandra Singh. Ravi Singh started his career in 1993 as production manager in Delhi. But in the year 1997 he joined theatre and for more than two decades he has been associated with entertainment industry. He married Kulmohan Kaur in the year 1996 and the couple has two children – Aadhar Singh and Jasmine Singh.

He joined the theater group, Daira Cultural group in the year 1997 and worked for three-four years before he shifted to Mumbai in 2001. Since then he is associated with television soaps and Bollywood movies. Though he has got opportunity to work in more than a dozen of Bollywood films in the past 15 years or so, he struggled to get roles. Though he worked with leading directors of the industry, most of the films in which he appeared flopped at box office. For the same reason his roles went unnoticed.

In 2017 he got a major breakthrough when he was casted for a Malayalam film, Tiyaan. The movie was not a very big hit at box office. However his role caught the attention of critics as well as audience. He is looking forward to do a few more Malayalam movies. He played the role of Khorpade, the chief henchman of Mahashey played by Murali Gopi.
