Ravi Gossain Biography 
Ravi Gossain is an Indian actor associated with Hindi entertainment industry. He works in Bollywood films and Hindi soaps, mostly portraying character roles. He appeared in popular TV shows - Amanat as Nigoda and Sarhadein as Sohail. As a film actor he is best known for playing the supporting role of Kuldip in 1996 award winning film – Maachis. It was one of his early noted roles in Hindi cinema. He is associated with Hindi film industry since 1995, and Oh Darling! Yeh Hai India! starring Shah Rukh Khan was his debut flick. He is a dancer-choreographer turned actor.
Ravi Gossain hails from Delhi, and he was born on 4th April. Travelling and listening to music are his favourite hobbies, apart from acting. He is married and his wife’s name is Shallu Gossain. He has two kids – a boy and a girl – Vyom Gossain and Vakshi Gossain. Ravi started his film career with less-known Bollywood flick of Shah Rukh Khan, Oh Darling! Yeh Hai India, released in 1995, exactly the same year DDLJ got released. He played a bit uncredited role in the film. He earned recognition for the first time through Tabu starrer Maachis in 1996.
Later he was seen in Bollywood flicks such as Hazaar Chaurasi Ki Maa, Sunday, Pyar Koi Khel Nahin, Aasma: The Sky Is the Limit, Jal, Ded Ishqiya, Raja Bhayya, Raghu Romeo, Shootout at Lokhandwala, Zindaggi Rocks, Chingari etc. He got only limited success from big screen movies, while he earned recognition through small screen roles. Gaatha in 1997 was his first TV show. He appeared in a few short films, and has also directed one namely, Chottu.
Initially he wanted to become a dancer. However a leg injury gave him another career choice through acting. He originally started his career as a dancer and a choreographer during his academic years, and won 2 All- India Dance Championships in his college days.
