Rashmi Gautam Biography

Rashmi Gautam is an Indian actress who predominantly works in Telugu cinema. She made her Bollywood debut through 2012 critically acclaimed movie – Login where she played the crucial role of Vruthika, Debashish Mondal’s girlfriend who dumps him for his reckless life. She made her Kannada debut the same year through the movie Guru and a couple of Tamil movies are set to release - Mappilai Vinayagar and Priyamudan Priya.

She made her Tamil film debut through Kandein where she played lead role opposite Shanthnoo Bhagyaraj. The movie was a hit at box office and received positive response from critics as well. Before her entry to movies, she has been a part of television as an actress and anchor and has successfully presented many popular shows like Jabardasth Katharnak Comedy Show, Ragada and Super Kutumbam.

This Telugu girl made her film debut through Telugu film, Prasthanam. Yet it was her Tamil debut movie, Kandein – a romantic comedy released in 2011, which helped her to earn attention and appreciation. Prior to entering movies, she was a part of television shows and she has been a successful anchor. She was spotted by actress Sangeetha in one such show and that’s how she got her first Tamil film. Sangeetha who was mentoring a few kids for a Telugu reality show, referred Rashmi to Mugil, the director of Kandein.

'Priyamudan Priya' - a thriller is her upcoming flick which narrates the events that happens in four hours and she plays the title role of a radio jockey in this movie. She is paired opposite actor Ashok and the movie is produced by Sadhiq Hussain.
