Raj Kiran Biography

Raj Kiran is a noted artist of Bollywood cinema. He has done both lead roles as well as supporting roles. He is better known for the supporting role in Subhash Ghai’s mega blockbuster of 1980 – Karz. He is also known for a few memorable movies like - Pyaar Ka Mandir, Basera, Raj tilak, Nakhuda, Hip hip hurray, Faasla, Arjun, Ghar Ho To Aisa, Teri Meherbaniyan, Shiksha, Arth, Bulandi, Patita and Ghar Ek Mandir. He was most active in the industry during 1980’s and has quite a few memorable supporting roles in his name. Karz, Begunah, Basera, Maan Abhiman and Arth are his most memorable movies.

But this yesterday actor has been missing for more than a decade and no conclusions have arrived yet if he is dead or alive. For the last time he appeared in Doordarshan Television serial Reporter with Shekhar Suman in 1994. He disappeared from India as well as the industry and was thought to be living as a recluse in America for many years. Actor Rishi Kapoor, his co-star of Farz has once stated that he has seen him in an asylum in Atlanta where he was undergoing metal treatment. Now celebrities have even started posting on Raj Kiran's Facebook Fan page asking about his whereabouts. Raj's wife and son abandoned him sometime back and the rest of his family too, didn’t track where he has actually gone! But his daughter issued a public statement negating the reports of her father being found in Atlanta.

After Karz, Arth has been one of the most memorable roles of his career. He played the role of raj, leading lady Shabana Azmi’s friend to surpass the difficulties of life as a single person and supporting her to find a good job and give mental support. Later he proposes her as well. In 1981 movie Basera, he plays the charecter of Sagar Kohli in supporting role. He has also appeared in 1984 multi star cast movie – Ghar ek mandir.
