Priyanka Dutt Biography

Priyanka Dutt is a well-known film producer of Telugu film industry. She is the daughter of well-known producer and distributor C. Ashwini Dutt, and is married to film director & screenwriter from Hyderabad, Nag Ashwin. Her sister, Swapna Dutt is also a film producer. Her father is the founder of Vyjayanthi Movies. One of the youngest film producers of Indian film industry, she made the first movie at the age of just 21 when she co-produced Balu in 2004. She is the founder of Three Angels Studio, and has produced a short film titled; Yaadon Ki Baraat. The short film was screened at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival.

Priyanka Dutt was born 19 December 1984 in Vijayawada. She belongs to a family of film producers, which their own production company, Vyjayanthi Movies founded by her father. Later she along with her sister Swapna stepped into production field. Her husband Nag Ashwin too is a film producer of Telugu film industry, who has most recently stepped into direction field as well.

Priyanka started her professional career working as an assistant under the famous ad-film maker and Bollywood director, Shoojit Sircar. Later she moved to Hyderabad to co-produce movies with her father's banner Vyjayanthi Movies and co-produced three films - Balu (2004), Jai Chiranjeeva (2005), and Shakti (2011). Later she launched her own production house, Three Angels Studio in 2009. Same year it produced the film, Baanam, which met with critical acclamation. The movie also helped her to win Silver Nandi Award in the best film category in 2009.

Later she produced movies, Om Shanti, Sarocharu and Yaadon Ki Baraat under her banner. Mahanati is her upcoming flick, and the movie stars Vijay Devarakonda of Arjun Reddy fame. The movie is slated to release in 2018.
