Prithvi Rajan Biography

Prithvi Rajan is a Tamil film actor, better known as the son of veteran comedian and actor - Pandiarajan. He was launched to film scene by his father in 2006 through the movie – Kaivantha Kalai, which was Pandiarajan’s maiden directorial venture. However the movie failed at box office. Prithvi Rajan later appeared in several low budget films and couldn’t make a mark in film industry till now. He is also known for his father’s mannerisms. Prithvi Rajan has two brothers, both associated with film industry and he is the second son of Pandiarajan.

With his debut film, Kaivantha Kalai in 2006 he received mixed response from critics. However critics commented that he does a convincing job and has his father's mannerisms. In this movie, Pandiarajan played Prithvi’s screen father and the movie also included veteran actors like Manivannan, Revathy and Seetha. Prithvi was paired with Sruthi for the film. Naalaiya Pozhuthum Unnodu, a romantic love story was his next release. The movie directed by K. Moorthykannan starred Karthika as his heroine and was released under the banner P.R.K Films produced at 2007. The movie terribly fell at the box office.

He was paired with Karthika Adaikalam for the second time for the movie, Vaidegi released in 2009. During the film shooting of Padhinettan Kudi Ellai Arambam in 2011, he got injured by fire accident. After 2011, he took a break from acting and is now preparing for a comeback with two movies – Varatti and Vaaimai. His younger brother Prem Rajan has shard screen space with him for Varatti. He is quite active in Celebrity Cricket league and a member of Chennai Rhinos. He is known as a good cricketer in the field.
