Prakruti Mishra Biography

Prakruti Mishra is a leading actress associated with Odia film and television industry. Mishra is a national award winning film actress, who won Special Mention Jury Award Best Actress for movie Hello Arsi in the year 2018. She started her film career in the year 2000 as a child artist, and slowly graduated to adult roles since 2012. She played parallel lead in 2012 movie, Thukul, and after that mostly played lead roles on silver screen. Hello Arsi, Mitha Mitha, Kaun Kitne Paani Mein etc are some of her recent releases. She also appears in Odia TV soaps and music videos, and has done playback singing as well.

Prakruti Mishra was born on 3 March 1995 in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. Both her parents are associated with media and entertainment. She is the daughter of Odia music director Manmath Mishra and TV News reader Krushnapriya Mishra. Her school and college education were completed in the capital city itself. She started her film career in the year 2000 as a child artist at the age of only 5. Hari Bhai Harena was her debut film in a child role, followed by Sabata Maa, Sasughara Chalijibi, Sata Sure Bandha Ae Jibana and Pagala Karichi Pauji Toro. Her performance in Sasu Ghara Chali Jibi earned her state award for best actress. She played child artist roles till 2009, and later moved to adult roles. She remained fully active in her film career since her debut at the age of 5.

She played parallel lead in 2012 movie, Thukul, and played her first lead role - Omm Sai Ram, the same year. She played parallel lead in ACP Sagarika, which marked the acting debut of popular actor, Abhishek Rath. Later she played female lead in Premika, Bindas Romeo, Omm, Mitha Mitha, Hello Arsi etc. She currently plays the female lead in the TV show, Bitti Business Wali since 2018.
