Pradeep Chandran Biography

Pradeep Chandran is an upcoming actor of Malayalam known for portraying supporting roles. He made his acting debut through Major Ravi’s Mission 90 Days in 2007 and has appeared in movies like Drishyam, Lokpal, Angel John, Evidam Swargamanu, Kurukshetra, Karmayodha, Kandahar and Geetanjali in the recent times. He has shared screen space with actor Mohanlal in majority of his movies. He made his television debut in 2010 through Kunjali Marakkar for which he won Asianet Television Awards 2011 for Best Debut Actor.

He was born and bought up in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. He completed MBA and worked at Bangalore in an insurance company before entering movies. Major Ravi’s Mission 90 Days in 2007 marked his acting debut, where he got opportunity to share screen space with megastar Mammootty. Later Major ravi casted him in all his movies like Kurukshetra and Kandahar and Pradeep got opportunity to work with Mohanlal. He has been associated with this legendary actor in many movies in the recent times, including the mega blockbuster Dhrishyam. He played the role of the new sub-inspector in the movie. Though his role was brief it was well noticed.

In 2010 he made his television debut with Kunjali Marakkar, which bagged him Asianet Television Awards 2011 for Best Debut Actor. Oru Yaathrayil, Vaadamalli,  Naku Penta Naku Taka and Simhasanam are his other noted roles in movies. Most recently he made a cameo appearance in the box office hit - Naku Penta Naku Taka, directed by Vayalar Madhavankutty. Apart from Major Ravi, he has worked with film directors like Priyadarshan, Joshiy, Shaji Kailas, Rosshan Andrews and Alberrt Antoni. He also runs an automated car hub inside Technopark, Thiruvananthapuram.
