Poster Nandakumar Biography

Poster Nandakumar film actor, producer and poster distributor, associated with Tamil cinema. As an actor his performance in a negative role in his debut film, Madras (2014) earned him initial recognition. He earned SIIMA Award for Best Actor in a Negative Role for his breakthrough role. Stage actor Charles Vinoth also received a major break through this film in a negative role. Two years later his role in Vil Ambu also got noticed. He also produced the film. As an actor, he has been associated with Tamil movies such as Kathakali, Kabali, Maaveeran Kittu, Bongu, Sathriyan, Nibunan, Balloon, Sketch etc.

His real name is Nandakumar. He came to be known as Poster Nandakumar in the industry, as he is associated with distribution of film posters. He was a successful producer and poster distributor, before he forayed into acting. In fact he made a late entry into films as an actor, and earned SIIMA Award for Best Actor in a Negative Role for his debut film itself. Currently he is fully engaged in his acting career along with other roles.

Nandakumar runs Chennai's biggest film poster distribution service. He joined poster distribution section, as a part of family business, which began in the 1950s. Nandakumar was also involved in the pre-production of Pandiraj's Idhu Namma Aalu in 2016, thus getting into other sections of film making as well. The director Pa. Ranjith spotted him at Studio Green's office, when he reached there to discuss the distribution of film posters, and offered him his first film role through Madras. Now he is getting more acting roles from the film industry.
