Pooja Jhaveri Biography

Pooja Jhaveri is a south Indian film actress who works in Tamil, Kannada and Telugu movies. She marked her acting debut in the year 2015 with the Telugu film, Bham Bolenath where she played female lead opposite Navdeep and later worked in other south Indian movies as well. Right Right, L7, Dwaraka etc are her Telugu releases later. She was most recently seen in a cameo role in Telugu film, Touch Chesi Chudu. Shivam and Yugapurusha are her Kannada releases, and she marked her Tamil film debut with Thodari in 2016. Rukkumani Vandi Varudhu is her upcoming project. The movie’s release is postponed for some reasons.

Pooja Jhaveri was born to a Gujarati family in a small town near Vapi in southern Gujarat. She spent her childhood days in her hometown and later moved to Mumbai for higher studies. While at Mumbai, she started her modelling career, which paved her entry to south Indian film industry. She has been featured in many TV commercials and appeared in more than 20 ads for brands such as Rin, Nature Power Soap, and Shree Kumaran Jewellers. In 2015 she marked her acting debut in a lead role through Telugu film, Bham Bolenath. It received mixed reviews from critics. The movie helmed by Karthik Varma was not a commercial success.

She appeared in a brief role in Telugu movie, Shivam the same year, and later started getting offers from Kannada and Tamil film industries as well. Thodari is her debut Tamil film, where she was seen in a character role of Srisha. The movie starred Dhanush and Keerthy Suresh in lead roles. Though she is a Gujarati girl, she is yet to mark her debut in Gujarati film industry.
