Piyush Ranade Biography

Piyush Ranade is a Marathi film and television actor. His first big break was the role of Inspector Aakash in Zee Marathi television daily soap Lajja. He was active in theater since college days and started with television. He is to debut movies with films, with an untitled film directed by Director Mangesh Kanthale. He will be playing negative role in Marathi movie, Shivya that’s scheduled to release in 2014. He has appeared in Hindi shows - Manu in Papad Pol, Jasuben Jayantilaal Joshi Ki Joint Family and Chalti ka naam gaadi. Gunda Purush Dev, Madhu Ithe Ani Chandra Tithe and Man udhan varyache are his popular Marathi shows.

 

His full name is Piyush Vibhas Ranade. Ranade was born in Nagpur on March 28, 1983. Later the family shifted to Baroda where he did his school and college education. He has received degree in Theater Arts from Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda's Performing Arts Department. He was interested in acting and stage plays since school days. He was noticed by Smita Talwalkar while doing one such stage show and thus he got the role of inspector in Lajja. His chemistry with Girija Oak in this tele - serial was well appreciated. His first major Hindi television show was Burey Bhi Hum Bhale Bhi Hum on STAR Plus.

 

Piyush Ranade's first major Hindi play was Mahanirvan by Satish Alekar. He performed this play while at college. It was followed by Oye Band Baj Gaya! and Sakna Re To Sasu Nahi by National Centre for the Performing Arts. Now he performs in the play, Rishto ka live telecast, produced by actor Sachin Parikh. His first Marathi television show was Kata Rute Kunala and second one is Ekach Hya Janmi Janu opposite to Tejaswini Pandit.
