Pinky Rajput Biography

Pinky Rajput is a versatile and leading voice-dubbing artist associated with movies and television. She is also an entrepreneur and co-founder of Mayukhi Enterprises (“Mayukhi in Sync Private Ltd”) which dubs movies and television serials to Hindi, English, Marathi and other regional languages. It has also taken assignments on animated series and features for Cartoon Network, POGO and Nickelodeon. As a dubbing artist, she dubs south Indian language movies to Hindi and she is best known as the ‘Voice of Barbie’ to Indian audience. She also translates the dialogues of the popular Barbie series to Hindi.

Her full name is Pinky Pal Rajput and she was born in Mumbai in 1969. She started her television journey as an assistant director in the early 1990s. She turned a dubbing artist in the year 1993. Very soon she got recognition in this field. Her entry to the field was just a co-incidence. While she was working as an assistant director with Ved Rahi for a television show, their dubbing artist got sore throat and the director didn’t get enough time to find another artist. Thus she was given the first opportunity to dub for a television serial. That’s the beginning.

She later moved to Sagar Arts, where she began with Sri Krishna – a mythological television series. The Young and the Restless – was her real breakthrough. Since then she dubbed for many shows for Disney, Cartoon Network, POGO & Nick, apart from Radio ads, radio plays, documentaries etc. She has also dubbed for a few Bollywood films, apart from dubbing works of Hollywood films. She dubbed for actress Rambha for the movies – Bandhan, Krodh and Kyo Kii... Main Jhuth Nahin Bolta, and for Monica Bedi for the movie – Jodi No.1. She is indeed popular as ‘Barbie’ on Indian screen.
