Parasuram (telugu Director) Biography

Parasuram is a well-known Telugu film Director and screen writer best known for 2018 blockbuster rom-com, Geetha Govindam. Anjaneyulu and Solo are other major works. He made his directorial debut in 2008 with the film Yuvatha and has completed one decade in the industry. His upcoming movie has been currently titled as NC20. Sarocharu and Srirastu Subhamastu are other released works. Geetha Govindam starring Vijay Devarakonda and Rashmika Mandanna is the most memorable movie of his career. With a strong script and breath taking performances, the movie succeeded to get appreciation from all corners, and became the biggest hit of director’s career. The movie also helped him to cement his position in Telugu cinema, and also won him many awards and nominations including Filmfare awards (south).

His full name is Parasuram Naidu Petla. He was born in Cherlopalem, Visakhapatnam district, Andhra Pradesh. Currently his residence is Hyderabad, where he is fully engaged in cine world. He graduated in Master of Business Application in year 2002 from Andhra University, Visakhapatnam. To pursue his dreams in film making, he joined as an assistant under Puri Jagannadh, his cousin. Itlu Sravani Subramanyam, Andhrawala and 143 are the movies for which he worked as an assistant director under his cousin during this period.

Later he joined an associate director of Bommarilu Bhaskar on his 2008 film Parugu. Same year he marked his debut with Yuvatha. The movie starring Nikhil Siddharth fared well at box office, and he received rave reviews from critics. After his impressive debut in Telugu cinema, he directed only 5 movies in the past 11 years or so. Yet most of the times, he met with critics’ appreciation and impressed audience too. After the release of Geetha Govindam, he became one of the most promising film directors of Telugu cinema.
