Papu Pom Pom Biography 
Papu Pom Pom is the stage of Odia artist Tatwa Prakash Satapathy, who has excelled in the roles of an actor as well as comedian and stage artist. As an actor he works in both movies and television. He also tried his luck in politics associated with BJD party, and unsuccessfully contested in state assembly elections 2014 too. He was beaten by Sanatan Mahakud, Congress candidate. Following the controversies of casting couch in film industry, he has been expelled from the party. He owns a production house, Papu Pom Pom Creations, which produces his videos for you tube, and his special dance item number "Station Bazaar Jhiati.." became an instant hit.
Tatwa Prakash Satapathy is his birth name, and he adapted the screen name, Papu Pom Pom by which he is widely known. He was born in Kaptipada, Mayurbhanj district, Odisha as the son of a school teacher. Tatwa got his artistic stints from his father, who also remained an artist. Papu completed BSc degree in Chemistry from Udala College, and throughout his academic years, he has been actively involved in cultural events and competitions. He also served as dramatic secretary in his college.
He has remained a performer, in movies, television as well as stage shows, and has entertained audience as a comedian too. As a film actor, he joined films in the mid-2000s, and mostly played comedian roles on screen. He played lead roles in Rangila Toki and Ameta Toka Sandha Marka, and supporting roles in Sundergarh Ra Salman Khan, 4 Idiots, Kebe Tume Nahan Kebe Mu Nahin, Love Station etc. Now he is seriously ill suffering from acute pancreatitis, and is undergoing treatment for it.
