Papri Ghosh Biography

Papri Ghosh is an Indian film actress who appears in Tamil and Bengali films. She also appears in Tamil television soaps since 2018. She is also a successful model. She made her film debut with Bengali film, Kaalbela in 2009. It was followed by her lead role in Bengali movie, Krodh the same year. After a break of 6 years, she joined south Indian cinema, and marked her debut with Tamil movie, Touring Talkies in 2015. Since then she is regular in Tamil movies, playing lead and supporting roles. Sarkar and Viswasam are her upcoming films. She plays supporting roles in both these films.

Papri Ghosh hails from Bengal. Ghosh made her debut in Goutam Ghose's Bengali film Kaalbela, released in 2009. She acted in one more Bengali film same year, before she took a break to concentrate on to her studies. Later she joined film industry with 2015 anthology film, Touring Talkies, where she played one among the lead roles. The movie was released in Tamil language, and after that she got many notable roles from Tamil cinema. She also appeared in one Bengali film, Beparoyaa in 2016. She played lead role opposite Surya in this Bengali flick.

Later she played supporting roles in Tamil movies – Oyee, Bairavaa, Sakka Podu Podu Raja etc. She got opportunity to work with actor in two of his recent flicks – Bairavaa and upcoming Sarkar. She played the role of Shailaja Venkatesan in Bairavaa. In 2018 she marked her television debut with Tamil soap, Nayaki, where she plays the parallel lead role of Kanmani. She also appeared as a contestant in Nayaki - Kudumba Vizha.
