Omkar Kapoor Biography

Omkar Kapoor is a budding actor of Bollywood who made his film debut in 2015 with Luv Ranjan’s Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2. Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 received rave reviews from critics for its story and performance of its lead actors. The ensemble cast of the movie includes - Kartik Aaryan, Nushrat Bharucha, Sonalli Sehgall, Ishita Raj Sharma, Omkar Kapoor and Sunny Singh. Omkar Kapoor was paired with Ishita Raj Sharma for the movie. With thunderous response at the box office, Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 has received good response from critics and audience alike.

Omkar Kapoor is quite familiar to Indian audience as a cute child actor in the movies of 1990s - 'Ghoonghat', 'Masoom', ‘Chaahat’, ‘Hero No 1’, ‘Mela’, 'Judaai' etc. He played title role in 1996 hit - 'Masoom'. The popular song – Chota bachcha samachke humko, was pictured on him. The movie also starred Tinnu Anand, Ayesha Jhulka, Inder Kumar and Renuka Shahane and was a hit at box office. He played the role of Anil Kapoor's son in 1997 movie – Judai. It was Sridevi’s last film before her marriage.

After playing a few child roles in about 15 films onscreen, he took a small break from acting. Later he returned back as an assistant director working with pioneering directors like Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Farah Khan and Ahmed Khan. But he dreamt to become an actor and started giving auditions for movies. He got his first break for the second installment of Pyaar Ka Punchnama, which was an instant hit at box office. Omkar is now receiving good offers from Bollywood and he is waiting for some good roles to play onscreen. He just wants to assure himself that the role is meant to entertain people.
