Nidhi Sunil Biography

Nidhi Sunil is an Indian model and actress, and philanthropist from south Indian state of Kerala. She played the lead role in 2015 Indian drama film written and directed by Ishaan Nair, Kaash. The movie was produced by national award winning actor Irrfan Khan. In 2017 she was featured in American documentary film, Nude. Earlier she also played a brief role in2013 Bollywood drama film, Gangoobai which was showcased at different film festivals. Nidhi is a recipient of Vogue India's Model of the year award. She has been featured in the cover of leading magazines like Italian Vogue, Condé Nast traveler, Elle Magazine and GQ, and has appeared in music videos.

Nidhi Sunil was born to Malayali parents in Bangalore, Karnataka in 1987. Her parents are originally from Kochi, who were settled in Bangalore. Nidhi completed her studies in law and took an LLB degree and also started her profession in this field before moving to acting and modelling. She worked as an environment lawyer, before foraying into entertainment field. She is currently considered one of the most influential young celebrities in India.

In 2009 Nidhi placed second runner up Kingfisher Calendar Girl 2010 Hunt at the age of 22, which marked her new beginning in modelling career. The following year she won the Femina Miss South Glamorous Hair subtitle. She also became 2nd runner up in The Pantaloons Femina Miss India South 2011 pageant. Later she did photo shoots for leading fashion magazines like Maxim, Vogue and Elle, as a print model. She forayed into acting through a brief role in 2013 film, Gangoobai. After that she accepted a few more Indian and international projects.
