Neha Ratnakaran Biography

Neha Ratnakaran is a newcomer to Tamil film industry who made her debut with the Tamil film - Ivanuku Thannila Gandam in 2015. She played the lead role opposite TV anchor and actor - Deepak Dinkar, and stunt double Rajendran also played a pivot role in the movie. The film produced by VVR Cine Mask and directed by SN Sakthivel received a negative reception from the critics and was a box office failure. Neha hails from Malabar region, Kerala. Neha has a successful modelling career before her foray to movies. She has bagged her second project - Uchathula Siva.

Neha belongs to Kannur, Kerala, born on 24 March 1997. She has two elder siblings – one brother and one sister. Neha completed her schooling from Kendriya Vidyalaya Keltron Nagar, Kannur. Neha has been associated with modelling and ad field which fetched her appreciation. She was the 1st runner up in Miss Malabar 2013 competition. Later she was curious to do something different and do movies. That’s how she got into film line. She got her first break through Tamil movies. In her debut film - ‘Ivanukku Thanila Gandam’, she played a vibrant, super smart, bubbly, talkative character named Deepika, who encourages the hero. But in real life Neha is a silent girl. The movie was released on 13 March 2015. But the movie was panned by critics and was a box office failure.

Neha has received her second project - Uchathula Siva directed by Jaypee. The movie stars Karan and Neha in the lead roles, and Aadukalam Naren, Ilavarasu, Ramesh Kanna and Kumki Ashwin play the supporting cast. The movie is scheduled to get released in 2016.
