Naro Hari Shrestha Biography

Naro Hari Shrestha is an Indian professional footballer who currently plays for Mohun Bagan A.C. since 2017. He plays as a forward and striker for his team. He has been associated with Salgaocar and DSK Shivajians in the previous seasons. Shrestha represented his state, West Bengal in the Santosh Trophy. Naro was selected to join the India U-19 team in the 2014 AFC U-19 Championship qualifications. As India was knocked out too early, Naro didn’t get an opportunity to play for his side. Shrestha began his senior career with Salgaocar. He made his I-League debut against Shillong Lajong in February 2017.

 

Naro Hari Shrestha hails from West Bengal. He was born on 12 May 1996. Shrestha represented his state in the Santosh Trophy, and outshined in the season. After that he decided to take football professionally. Naro impressed Indian youth coach Colm Toal at the U-18 selections. From there on, he had good days in the game of football. He was a part of India U-18 Elite Academy National team during 2013–2014 season.

 

His senior career as a footballer with Salgaocar in 2015 and has played for the club in the Goa Professional League. He was signed with I-League club DSK Shivajians for 7 lakhs the next season. He was a member of the team which won DSK Cup. He played a key role in winning the cup for his team and was also elected as the best player of the tournament. He won Golden Boot of the tournament. He played PDFA Pune Super League 2017. He got opportunity to play 5 matches and he scored a total of 9 goals.
