Narendra Nayak Biography 
Narendra Nayak is a famous rationalist of India. He was born on 5th February 1951 in Mangalore in Karnataka. He founded Dakshina Kannada Rationalist Association and was working as its Secretary since 1976. He is also serving as the Joint Convener of the Federation of Indian Rationalist Organizations. This is an apex body to develop scientific temper and humanism in the country.
He is working as the Assistant Professor of Biochemistry at the Centre for Basic Sciences in Kasturba Medical College in Mangalore. He organized a body of 65 atheist, rationalist and Humanists in India and formed a society, Federation of Indian Rationalist Association. He is serving as the national president of the association. He has conducted many campaigns to expose the background of miracles and debunk superstitions.
He travelled all over India and conducted more than 2000 demonstrations to expose the secret behind the superstitious beliefs. He has also traveled to Australia, England and Greece propagating his ideals.
He is featured in a number of television programs that made him famous. He appears in the show on physical feats by the Discovery Channel and the show Is It Real? by National Geographic, in the show The Secret Swami by BBC and many other programs.
He is a very close friend of the famous rationalist late Basava Premanand. He knows to speak several languages and this is a great advantage for him to conduct campaigns all over India. He conducts programs based on his rationalist ideals for young school children.
He opposed astrology and explained that eclipses occur based on pure scientific facts and has nothing to be afraid of. He exposed the miracles of Sudhamani who is called as Mata Amritanandamayi. He has published many articles to explain his rationalistic ideas.
