Nandu Poduval Biography 
Nandu Poduval is a character artist associated with Malayalam cinema. Though he plays brief roles on screen, his roles get easily noticed and hence he is a household name among Malayalam speaking people. He also plays character roles in TV soaps, and best known in the industry circle as Production controller. His career spans to more than 25 years, and has worked with all leading artists of the industry. He also worked as a mimicry artist on stage during 1990s, before he turned busy in film industry. Christian Brothers (2011), Runway (2004) and Millenium Stars (2000) are some of his noted works, and he plays brief roles in films which he works as Production controller and also accepts other character roles.
Nandu Poduval hails from Kilimangalam of Thrissur, Kerala. He was first seen in a brief role as a child artist at the age of 14. His association with films began when he arranged 15 people for a procession scene for a movie shooting, while he was studying in 9th grade. After completing his college studies at Kalamassery St. Paul’s College, he moved to Mumbai in search of job. In those days type writing and short hand had huge demand, and he worked as a cargo assistant in Air Cargo. In those days he got active in mimicry and also presented his art in small functions of Malayalis of Mumbai.
In those days, he came to contact with well-known mimicry artist and actor Aby who hadn’t join films yet. The duo has done many programs together in Mumbai, and later when Aby joined Dileep-Nadirshah team for live shows and cassettes, Nandu worked as their cassette coordinator in the 1990s. Since late 1990s, he works as Production Manager of Malayalam cinema.
