Nanditha Jennifer Biography

Nanditha Jennifer is a noted actress associated with Tamil cinema, known for her performance for the film, Eera Nilam (2003) directed by P. Bharathiraja. She shared screen space with Manoj Bharathiraja, son of the acclaimed director in this film. She also starred in a few Telugu movies, and known as a dancer. Her father R Chinna is a famous artist and dance performer. She reached film industry as an assistant director to her father, but later became an actress. Her role as a teenager in “Endrume Anandham” and also “Ravana Desam” were also well appreciated. She has also performed dance numbers in many south Indian films. Currently she is associated with Tamil television.

Her real name is Jennifer. She used her birth name in her early movies, before she added ‘Nanditha’ tag to her name. She was born into an artistic family. Her father Chinna is a dance artist and worked as choreographer in south Indian film scene. Nanditha first appeared in an item number in Vasanth's Yai Nee Romba Azhaga Irukey (2002). As a film actress she made her debut with the film, Mutham the same year, where she joined an ensemble star cast. But Eera Nilam (2003) directed by P. Bharathiraja gave her a breakthrough. Before that she played brief roles and dance numbers for a few movies. She played the female lead in Eera Nilam. But critics criticized her performance as "comical".

After that she was mostly seen doing item numbers throughout 2000s.  She was seen as an item girl in Imsai Arasan 23rd Pulikecei, Jananam, Pavitra, Where is Vidya Balan etc. A film titled Kaadhal Jaathi directed by Kasthuri Raja got shelved. She made a comeback as an actress through the film, “Ravana Desam” where she played the female lead. The film told civil war between Sri Lanka and LTTE. She has been associated with a few TV dance shows such as Maanada Mayilada and Jodi No.1.
